HEAD and APPT strengthen their alliance to boost padel in the Asia-Pacific region, reinforcing their commitment to the sport’s growth and providing new opportunities for players and fans
Barcelona, January 31, 2025 – Something big is coming to the world of padel. HEAD, one of the most iconic sports brands, has decided to take its commitment to the next level with an alliance that promises to change the game in the Asia-Pacific region. What do they have in store?
Since HEAD joined the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) in 2024, padel has undergone an unprecedented transformation in the region. Now, with this new agreement, the impact will be even greater. Changes are coming that will benefit players of all levels, with equipment designed to enhance performance and elevate the playing experience.
Wolfgang Grau, Category Manager Racquetsport & Area Sales Manager at HEAD, hints at what’s to come:
“Padel is taking off in Asia like never before, and APPT has become the epicenter of this revolution. We are ready to take another step forward and offer something that will surprise all fans and players.”
Many are wondering: what innovations will HEAD bring? What is known so far is that the circuit will adopt the innovative HEAD PADEL PRO+ and HEAD PADEL PRO S+, designed for greater durability and even more consistent performance. But this is just the beginning.
Additionally, HEAD is planning a series of special activations at each APPT tournament, offering exclusive experiences both on and off the court. Players and fans will get to experience firsthand what it means to be part of a padel revolution. Clinics, surprise events, and an unprecedented brand presence are all part of a strategy that will be gradually revealed.
Carlos Carrillo, CEO of the Asia Pacific Padel Tour, adds to the intrigue:
“What we are building with HEAD is unprecedented. We knew this sport was destined for great things in Asia, but what’s coming will exceed all expectations.”
The Asia Pacific Padel Tour has already established itself as the most important circuit in the region and the third largest in the world. With a presence in 14 countries and a constantly growing community, padel in Asia is entering a new era. And this year, with the debut of this agreement at the Bangkok tournament in late January, the first chapter of this new era is about to begin.
What’s next? The countdown has begun. ?
