The former coach of Ale Galan and Juan Lebron will be the new director of padel at the Aspire academy in Doha, Qatar.

On Friday afternoon, Mariano Amat has communicated the decision along with his new destination through his social networks. In it, he thanks the support to take this responsibility and explains his future functions in the Qatari school:
“It is a great honor and a great responsibility to take on this professional challenge in one of the best sports academies in the world”. He also talks about padel in the Middle East: “…to contribute to the development and promotion of padel in the Middle East”.
This strategic move indicates the expansion and importance that the sport is acquiring in countries like Qatar.
Unexpected decision
The former Competition Director of the M3 Padel Academy, training ground of Lebron/Galan or Brea/Gonzalez among others, took the padel world by surprise by leaving padel aside before the second part of the 2023 season.
The Argentinean coach, without providing specific details, abruptly said goodbye to his role with the number one pairing, Lebron/Galan, and the M3 Padel Academy.
In the same message, Mariano Amat also alluded to his future: “I am sure that the future will bring me new challenges and opportunities in my professional career. Four months later, that future already has a destination: Qatar.
